PROJECTS ARCHIVE 2020

Structured Dialogue:

EUnify! - Ausgrenzung? Nein danke!

January in Hagen, Germany and Brussels, Belgium

Countries: Germany, Belgium

The project helped participants to understand better the exclusion of minorities in today's society in the context of European history. They learned how violence and injustice experiences can arise and what they can mean for those affected, if necessary also in their own environment.

"EUnify!" consists of two phases:

1) Local: 2 days of action during which the young participants acquired a common basic knowledge of the history of exclusion in Europe.

2) An excursion to Brussels, where yougsters visited the House of European History and the European Parliament.

After the dialogue between the EU politician and the participants, the plenary session of the European Parliament was looked at together. This was followed by a joint evening with the Belgian partner group of Jeugdhuis' t Schab.

The project reached a total of about 80 participants, most of whom have a migrant and/or a socially deprived background.

Seminar: Remembrance Culture – Fighting against Antisemitism in Europe

Phase 2. 21-27 February 2020 in Hattingen, Germany

Countries: Germany, Russia, Poland

In February 2020 there was another meeting in Hattingen between the three partner organizations, where the results of the local work were presented to the public again. The final phase of the project in the form as a seminar was addressed to the youth work forces who have worked with the young participants during the local projects, because in the last phase of the project the results were made applicable to other youth work organizations in Europe, for others to sensitize young people and to immunize them against anti-semitism. Sensitization and immunization, from our point of view, play a major role, as antisemitism also contributes to the loss of common European values. more

Youth Exchange: School Everywhere

9-17 March 2020 in Izmir, Turkey

Countries: Romania, Hungary, Turkey, Germany, North Macedonia

During the youth exchange "School everywhere" participants had the opportunity to spend the first days discovering the city of Izmir. They were doing missions related to observing. The project continued in the Bademler village. With other groups they learned how to read a map and created games about orienteering. The groups visited a real Turkish village with 2000 citizens and one of the oldest theaters in Turkey in it. And of course natural, 100% organic food from the village was a great highlight for many participants. Unfortunately this project ended earlier due the coronavirus outbreak.
